How it works
01
Drop the files
Receipt photos, PDF receipts (first four pages), or pasted email text. Multiple files at once.
02
Read on your computer
Fix any row. Faded thermal slips often need a typed total. Duplicate vendor, date, and total get a flag.
03
Download CSV or Excel
CSV is one sheet. Excel adds By category: meals, groceries, gas, travel, office, medical, other.
Customer review
“I'd been dreading this for three years. Every January I'd photograph a shoebox of receipts, tell myself I'd sort them, and then reconstruct the whole year from card statements in April. This time I ran 180 receipts through DropSheet in about twenty minutes. Maybe fifteen of them were faded gas station slips it couldn't read, and I typed those totals in myself, which took another five. Sent the Excel file to my accountant and she didn't have a single question, which has never happened. The thing I actually cared about is that none of it went anywhere — I watched the network tab while it ran and nothing left my machine. I'd been paying for a subscription I used four days a year, and this was thirty dollars once.”

Consumer privacy
Receipts are personal. Card numbers, pharmacies, the dinner you might not want in someone else’s cloud. DropSheet reads them on your computer. There is no DropSheet account because there is nothing to store.
Nothing uploaded
Photos, PDFs, and pasted email text never leave this machine.
No account
No login. No receipt database. Close the tab and the rows are gone unless you exported.
No OCR API
The picture is not sent to a third-party reader. English reading files are hosted here.
License stays here
The Gumroad key lives in this browser. Buying is on Gumroad. Gumroad does not see the shoebox.

Receipt image to CSV, without the upload
Search “image to CSV” and you get a box that sends the picture to a server. DropSheet does one job: a shoebox of receipts into Excel or CSV. The file never leaves your computer. That is the product.

Receipts to Excel
Excel export is two sheets. Receipts: date, vendor, total, tax, category, duplicate flag. By category: totals for meals, groceries, gas, travel, office, medical, other. Photos and emailed PDFs land in the same workbook.
Receipts to CSV
One flat file. Date, vendor, total, tax, category. Open it in Sheets or Excel. Same drop as the workbook. No second tab.

Who it’s for
Freelancers, sole props, anyone with a shoebox of receipts and a tax date. Chrome, Edge, or Safari. Not QuickBooks. Not payroll. Receipts in, spreadsheet out. Tax receipts in a spreadsheet. How to organize receipts for taxes. Nothing uploaded. No subscription.
One HTML file. You can check.
Download DropSheet.htmlOpen it in a text editor. Drop a receipt with the network tab open — the picture does not go out. Reading libraries load from this site so the file can run offline after that. They are not your receipts.
Who built this

Mike Printz
I built DropSheet because I did not want pharmacy receipts or tax forms with a Social Security number sitting on someone else’s server — or sold. I run this alone. If the export is useless for your pile, refund on the Gumroad receipt. Questions: [email protected].
Receipts to CSV and Excel FAQ
- How do I convert receipt photos to CSV?
- Drop the photos on this page or in DropSheet. Reading happens on your computer. Nothing is uploaded. Edit any row, then export CSV after you paste your license.
- Can I convert PDF receipts to Excel?
- Yes. DropSheet reads the first four pages of a PDF receipt. Export Excel for a Receipts sheet plus a By category sheet.
- Does converting an image to CSV upload my file?
- Not here. Typical image-to-CSV sites upload the picture. DropSheet is local. Files stay on your computer. Consumer privacy is the default, not a toggle.
- Do I need an account?
- No. No login. No receipt cloud. The license lives in this browser. Buying is on Gumroad. Gumroad does not see your receipts.
